Ottawa based woodwind artist, Richard Page has become a sought-after performer and educator for all levels. His unique sound and approach to the baritone saxophone has been featured on many recordings and he is an in-demand sideman in the Ottawa-area.
Richard has performed, and recorded with with many award-winning artists, including Marcus Roberts, Jason Marsalis, Marc Copland, Jerry Granelli, Robben Ford, Byron Stripling, Carmen Bradbury, Bob Lanzetti, Jens Lindemann, Hilario Duran, Bob Brookmeyer, Phil Nimmons, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra.
In addition to his own projects, Richard performs with the Prime Rib Big Band, The Crius Saxophone Quartet, Sly High - A Tribute To Sly & The Family Stone, Renée Landry, and The Rock Steadies. He can also be heard performing any number of woodwinds on theatre productions throughout Ottawa.
Richard's woodwinds have been featured on television on commercials, TV shows and movies, and can be heard on the Kidscreen award winning (Emmy and Canadian Screen Award nominated) Sesame Workshop/Nelvana cartoon, Esme and Roy.
Richard has studied with many renowned Canadian musicians, such as Kirk MacDonald, Mike Tremblay, and spent several years studying with world-renowned woodwind artist, Tim Price.
In August 2023, Richard joined the faculty at the Carleton University Jazz Camp teaching both clarinet, and saxophone masterclasses, and an ensemble. He has also joined the faculty of Carleton University's Song-To-Stage Camp which had its inaugural camp in July 2025.
