About The Crius Saxophone Quartet
The Crius Saxophone Quartet blends the freedom of jazz, the precision of classical music, the intricacies of chamber music, and the groove of contemporary music to bring their audiences a unique, and exciting sound.
This collective of four saxophonists – Catherine Gendron – soprano saxophone, Mike Tremblay – alto saxophone, Petr Cancura – tenor saxophone, and Richard Page – baritone saxophone, bring their individual voices, and experiences from a wide array of musical settings.
Listen as the Crius Quartet switches gears from saxophone quartet classics, to modern compositions, to original works which add to the saxophone quartet canon.
Whatever music the group presents, the Crius Saxophone Quartet’s approach becomes infused with the music which is captivating for both the audience, and the performers.
